Priorities

These aren't just policy positions — they're the issues I live with every day as your neighbor. Here's what I'm fighting for in District 65.

End food & housing insecurity

Homelessness is a symptom of economic failure. The unhoused are our neighbors, deserving of dignity and support. Many are one financial crisis away from that same struggle.

Access to food is a right, not a privilege. Corporations receive tax incentives to discard food rather than donate it. I believe in dismantling systems that gatekeep basic human needs behind corporate profit.

Build strong unions that protect workers

Every workplace protection working people take for granted today — the weekend, the eight-hour day, overtime pay — was won by organized workers who refused to accept less. Unions didn't just build the middle class, they built West Virginia. I believe in fighting to strengthen them, because a worker with a union behind them is a worker who can actually push back.

Repeal "right to work" laws that lower wages

I've tried to survive on $8.25 an hour and know firsthand that it cannot be done — not without doubling up on housing, splitting every bill, and still barely getting by. No job is unskilled labor. Workers deserve wages they can actually live on.

Stop data centers that drain our resources

Our water, our land, and our power grid belong to the people of West Virginia — not to out-of-state corporations looking for a cheap place to run their servers. Data centers promise jobs but deliver few, while quietly driving up utility costs and draining resources our communities depend on. We deserve better deals than that.

Put working families first

I believe in funding public education, paying teachers what they deserve, and using tax dollars to build up social work and community support systems. I support publicly-funded higher education and trade school training, and free or low-cost access to the resources people need to not just survive — but to thrive and live fulfilling lives.
